Lithium

So I have suffered with bipolar for several years although I was just recently diagnosed. I was begining to rapid cycle and it was destroying my relationship. The Dr. started me off with just Zoloft, which I quickly found out was not a good idea. It made me completly manic, I was barley sleeping, my mind was always racing, I couldnt sit still. Although my apartment was very clean, my fiance insisted that I talk to the Dr. I was not wanting to because I was enjoying the "high" of it all. after a week of this I talked to the Dr. and he had me stop the Zoloft completly and put me on Lithium. So far it is working great! I have not felt this stable in years. I still get a little depressed, but nothing like I used to. The only side effect I am experiancing is a rash with red bumps with little white zit looking things on them. Has anyone else experienced this? and how did you treat it? I really dont want to stop the Lithium because it is definatley working.
